Safety nets are used in construction and assembly work as devices to stop individuals and objects from falling.

Since they are collective protection devices, after being properly installed, they allow operation without the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) (safety harnesses, lanyards, retractable fall arrest devices, etc.), allowing operators to work in the areas protected by these systems with full freedom of movement.
